Enhanced Durability: Scarlet is capable of surviving injuries that would be fatal to a normal human, such as getting her arm and leg ripped off by Brook.Super Speed: Scarlet is shown to be fast enough to intercept a bullet after it was fired.Super Strength: Scarlet can perform feats of strength greater than that of a normal human, such as carrying 9 unevenly stacked heavy crates with ease.Biological Immortality: As a reaper, Scarlet does not physically age and thus is not susceptible to dying of natural causes.Later on we learn that she was in fact buying organs from the Red Spades in order to delay the progress of the Scarlet Rot she infected herself with to develop a cure for the disease, and in the process aquired a massive debt with the organisation. At first not much was known, except for several scars everywhere on her body, and the former leader of the Red Spades presenting a human heart to her. As a human, she was "the worst of the worst", sentenced to the 9th circle of Hell. She has past affiliations with a criminal organization called the Red Spades. After spending time with him, she developed a more vulnerable and warm side. She is driven by frustration and fear of her sentence in Hell, but also her attachment to Chase, which often gets her into fights. She developed a bleak view of the world and its inhabitants. Over the course of her time as a reaper, she has chosen her emotions over logical decisions, contrary to what the former leader of the Red Spades thought. She is sincere, but also gives away her emotions easily. Scarlet is a secretive individual, except with trusted people. Scribbly red eyes fleck the demonic features.
All of these new attributes are black with red outlines. Her hands also become big and pointed, like a demon’s. When Scarlet’s demon takes over, her head becomes a large, red, shapeless blob, bearing a resemblance to a pair of jaws. Once she starts to use the powers of a Grim Reaper, the horns on on her head grow in size as the demon inside her take control. Her pupils are slitted like those of a cat or reptile. Scarlet also wears a red scarf and black combat boots.Īs a reaper, Scarlet has two small horns that look like tufts of hair, and a long black tail with a spade-shaped tip. On top of that, she wears a cloak that bears an arrow-like pattern on its sides.
It consists of a white long-sleeve shirt with a large red X (the mark of a sinner) in the middle, although the Sinner’s Mark on her outfit seems to only be part of her shirt. Her outfit is designed by Satan, with the primary colors being red and black. One of her most prominent features is a small X shaped scar on the left corner of her lip. Her torso is dotted with small scars, which may have to do with her occupation while she was alive. According to Satan, it looks like it’s been stuck into a wood chipper. Although initially her hair was bobbed and short, currently it is knee-length. Scarlet has apricot skin, unevenly-cut black hair with a red underside and bright red eyes.
